East to Madison

A little out of order, but I think you can handle it. The Saturday before Independence Day, I went with Kerri to her friends' get-to-together in Madison. We took I-90 up because it's supposed to be faster; except for the toll construction. It took us 3.5 hrs due to waiting in line at the tolls. It'll be very nice when they get the open road tolling finished. It was a small grilling; I helped out by bringing my 12" that was buried in the old shed. They used it for the burgers & then used the oven for the corn (last minute change for the corn from the unlightable gas camping stove). After eating, we played some bocce ball at their nearby park. We had some challenging arrangements. Then after all that sun, we headed over to the capitol. This is my first time in Madison, so it was neat to see the capitol. They had cows on display (good job copying Chicago even though cows are more fitting for WI). After the cows, we headed over to the infamous State street. I really liked it because it's definitely college town, WI style. I've never seen so many eateries all in one spot within walking distance. It would have been worth a picture if there wasn't so much construction of the street. Posted by Picasa
