The Revelation & Completion

I've had my car for 3 years now. After the first year, I got tired of the stock rims. The tire wall was way way too wide and the wheels were nice, but nothing special. Everyone gets flashy, chromed rims or they go black. Well, I'm not for flashy and black will look too dark on my blue-black car. Time to be different! June 8th, I bought my new rims & tires. The Avon Tech M550 A/S tires (tirerack.com) arrived the following Tuesday while the Enkei DM5 18x7.5 wheels (discounttiredirect.com) arrived Weds. I was so excited to finally see these babies. Unfortunately, one of the fake bolt heads was damaged. That won't do! And neither will $65 credit. Back to the store it went free of charge. The following Weds. (6/21) UPS finally picked it up. This took just as long as it did to send the new wheel (received 6/27). After all that anticipation, Susie's dad was so kind to offer his service to install the wheels & tires. Monday (7/3), I went over to his shop with Susie and brought a photographer (Kerri). I helped her dad install the tires while he taught me a few things. In the background, Susie attempted to change the oil on her Equinox. She could've done it all by herself if she memorized all the steps. Tire installation went well and he was very careful as to not scratch my wheels. Check out the filthy wheel wells behind those beautiful, shiny wheels. Here's the finished result. Absolutely gorgeous! Please place your opinion as a comment on this post. Posted by Picasa
