Mike Doughty at the Vic

There used to be a band called Soul Coughing in the 90's. After 3 albums, the lead singer, Mike Doughty, continued on. Natasha's been a fan of his and found out that he was playing here in Chicago Thursday night (3/20).

I've liked Soul Coughing's radio hits and think Doughty's got a great, unique voice. I was glad to go with Natasha to the Vic theater just south of wrigleyville. I always enjoy live music. It was late for me on a school (work) night, but it was worth it.

It was just standing room, but that's fine because Natasha can't sit still for that long anyways. He did a cool song where he used a hand held mix board to play sound samples to the beat. It led into his new song called 'more bacon than the pan can handle.'

So far, Natasha has taken me to some great concerts.
