Toni & Jason's wedding

This past weekend was Toni & Jason's wedding. They both went to MSOE, but I've recently gotten to know them through Fred. Jason was Fred's roomate for a year and they're both in DSP fraternity. It was a big, long weekend. The bachelor party was Thursday night. I rode with Jason to O'hare airport to pick up Fred an then we continued up to Milwaukee. We met up with a friend of theirs and had some drinks and stuff. Friday was relaxing. We checked out the career fair for kicks. They had a lot of free stuff. After that we went over to the science building to visit with some professors. Dr. Wrate introduced us to Weird Al's newest video, White & Nerdy. Fred & I checked out what Professor Swedish was up to. He was doing one of the energy labs and the CFR lab; so we decided to hang around and reminisce. That evening was the rehearsal at the church and then dinner at Buca's. Afterwards, we went out to the bars; well, just one. Brew city is now Bar Louie, which isn't too bad; they've got good buffalo calamari & chocolate beer. I had a great conversation with a certain somone. And the main event started Saturday around 2:30 P.M. Everything went well; the bride looked awesome, the groom looked as ready as he could be. (The pic is when the couple just got outside after the ceremony) Here's what the bridesmaide dresses looked like. Here're the newly weds cutting their cake. The dinner, buffet style, was very good after they finally got it ready. There was plenty of Sprecher beer too. See my next post for a great story about getting the beer. The reception ended around 10.30, so we headed out to the bars. Actually, we brought the beer with us to the hotel and checked out the really neat bar in the hotel. It's called Aqua and the entire bar was clear acrylic (even the stools) with bubbling water behind it. That was a very, very fun night. Posted by Picasa

  1. Hah, fun! Brew City's still alive, they moved one block towards the river and a block north. They revamped the theme, though, so the food and atmosphere's a bit different. Found out this summer that the Water St Brewery and Brew City are owned by the same guy. The two now actually have the same back alley now so sometimes things get run between the two restaraunts.

Hmmm... I seem to remember those two. It's been too long.

    Hmmm... certain someone?
