Sunday, I went to the Milwaukee Brewer's game with Kerri and 3 of her friends from college. The Brewer's were playing the Minnesota Twins. This is my second time to Miller Park. As you can see, they had the roof closed. We met up outside the park, then carpooled into the park. We got there well before the game so that we could tailgate. Our tailgating consisted of mostly Subway sandwiches with various snacks, chips & cookies.
Here's the famous sausage race from 3rd to 1st base. The contestants are italian, polish, brat, and hot dog. This time, they relayed off to kiddie sausages. Hot dog won the race.
Top of the 9th, Brewer's up 5-3, 2 outs. Turnbow pitches the ball, and Twins hit it high. Brewer's catch the ball to end the game.
Final stats of the game. The best entertainment for this game were the drunks in front of us. First half of the game, we had a "couples" group of 30-somethings with the guys (obvious baseball fans) being obnoxious and definitely getting drunk as time passed. The last part of the game, some senior guys from UW-Madison sat in front of us because they didn't like the people next to their other seats. The one guy was really loud and goofy. Yes, we heard you, Lew Ford sucks. And no, that's not an animal in your drink, it's a bee. Good job, by the way, with the -$11 in your bank account (yea,
negative eleven dollars). I'm surprised you didn't get kicked out of this game.
