The new windows

About 4 years back, we had most of the windows replaced in the house. It was a big improvement. Not all of the windows were replaced because it would have been too expensive of a project. My mom started planning last year to have the siding replaced this year. Before that could happen though, the last of the windows needed to be replaced. Today, we got the rest of the windows replaced; the den, the east wall master bedroom, dining room & living room. Here are the old den windows. The furniture is moved away from the wall, which makes for a better picture. The paint was falling off and they had lost their ability to seal about a decade ago. Here are the new windows. The frames are vinyl so there's no painting. These are the kind of windows that flip inwards so you can clean the outside while staying inside. Another nice feature is the security latch that restricts the window from opening more than a few inches. This way you don't have to close the window for them to be secure. The best part about these windows is that they actually seal! You like how the new picture is taken in the daylight to subconsciously make them look better? Posted by Picasa
