So last Halloween, CVS's HS friend Katie & bf threw a party. Costumes were mandatory, but I felt daring enough to sport one (if I could think of something good). CVS was originally thinking of being a wizard, but he cheated (sorry CVS) and went with his fencing uniform. Since Katie's apartment was downtown Chicago, he decided not to bring his sword. Passer-bys did get a kick out his "costume" though. I decided to be
Homestar Runner. Katie is a playboy bunny and her boyfriend was Hugh Hefner. Kevin is Crocodile Dundee with bowe knife.

I picked up some simple pieces of clothing from the store. The hardest part was finding white pants. I thought that would be easy, but white jeans are long out of style, sweats are a light gray at best, and khakis wouldn't be cheap. I ended up turning light gray sweats inside out;
that part is white. I almost forgot the star on my way over to CVS's. You can't see in the picture too well, but I even fastened a spinner for the hat. Very few people recognized my costume, but I knew that would happen. My joy came when it did get recognized. I was going for recognizable, not popular. Although the
Burger King costume with whopper on silver platter was really cool. How does my costume compare to some of
these submitted ones?
Fortunately, I finally got this picture through the grape vine so that I can share it with all of you wonderful folks.
