Finally, the long awaited Great America: Fright Fest trip! Gen got tickets through the park district. It was great because there were a lot of us going: me, Gen, Dawn, Susan, Shannon, Brennan, and Gretchen. We started the day nice and early, 8:30 A.M. Once we were all at Gen's (minus Susan, we had to pick her sleepy head up), we headed out for breakfast and prep'd for lunch.

Once we got in the park, we started going left, which meant Superman was our first stop. The line was short, but the rides needed to warm up from the chilly night. After waiting for 45 minutes, they finally opened up and we got to fly in the sky.

A few of us went on King Chaos since the line for Rajin Cajin was longer than its worth. We passed through the highly decorated park on towards the next ride, Monster Mash (regularly East River Crawler; similar to the octopus). After we had our fun spinning in the air, I was ready to tackle Vertical Velocity. The line wasn't too bad; 30 minutes long. Susan braved the ride for her first time. That ride was so exhilarating, my hands were shaking.
