I really enjoyed going to Arlington Park Sunday of Independence weekend. I think it's the idea of donning some nice attire for an afternoon at a somewhat classy event. Betting on the horses is fun too. I don't quite have the skill (or confidence) to walk out ahead, but at least I do win back some of my money.
Natasha and I met up with my friends from High School. I haven't seen them in serveral months and it shows in their kids. Melissa did an awesome job of making sandwiches for everyone.
My winning horse is in there somewhere; he didn't pull ahead until the very end. I was surprised to actually win on a bet based solely on name. Luck: either you've got it or you don't.
